About Propolis Press:

Propolis Press was established by Karen Randall in 2001 for the purpose of printing fine letterpress artists books with poetry by innovative, contemporary authors. The philosophy of Propolis Press is that there should be no one-size-fits-all approach to poetic texts. Each text has its own unique dna that should guide the morphogenesis of the book.

Karen Randall is an artist who works in the media of words, digital collage (both sound and visual), oil painting, as well as letterpress printing. She is the author of the Extruded Gilgamesh, an intertwingled text based on the ancient Sumerian Epic and contemporary writings on genetics, computer science &c. Parts of the Ex-Gil have been published as a chapbook, rendered into music, and performed as a dance with choreography by Ellen Kaz. Other selections from the Extruded Gilgamesh can be found at Counterpath Online and textsound.
